It is sad that Pele is saddened by Maradona

Pele (80) and Maradona (60) are both green field legends.

They become rivals, compete, even though they play in different eras.

Both claim to be better.

However, from that competition arises mutual respect, friendship.

Hearing that Maradona passed away on Wednesday (25/11) in Argentina, Pele was sad.

“Surely one day we will kick the ball together in the sky above, Diego,” Pele told Reuters through a spokesman.

“It’s sad. Losing a friend like this,” said Pele.
