Houssem Aouar will not live his second selection with the France team this week. The Lyon midfielder, victim of a thigh injury Sunday during the success in front of Saint-Etienne (2-1), had to forfeit the gathering of the Blues for the matches against Finland, Portugal and Sweden. Didier Deschamps announced on Monday that he will not be replaced after the group had initially expanded to 26 players.
The Lyonnais had initially been summoned with the Habs Hopes before being recalled to the A following the left thigh injury of Nabil Fekir (Real Betis). Last month, the 22-year-old midfielder had his first selection in Blue by starting the match against Ukraine (7-1) a few weeks after having already had to decline a first call after contracting Covid-19 at the end of August.
