Football: Rodez brings back a good point from Valenciennes

The Ruthenians obtained the draw at Valenciennes, 1-1, Saturday, November 21, during the 11th day of Ligue 2.

It is not yet the end of the problems, but at least Rodez was reassured by bringing back the point of the draw (1-1) of Valenciennes, Saturday, November 21.

Led at the break by a goal from Baptiste Guillaume at the end of a half during which they did not show much, Laurent Peyrelade’s men managed to catch up after the break. David Douline found the flaw in the head, following a free kick from Rémy Boissier badly cleared (71st).

A logical reward for Aveyronnais who delivered a second period of good quality, with more energy and finally some scoring chances, which was lacking in recent meetings.

Amiran Sanaia’s teammates even had the opportunity to win at the end of the match, by Daouda Gueye (78th) or Jordan Leborgne (88th). But they could also have conceded a second goal, without the rescues of Valentin Henry (63rd) or Théo Guivarch (82nd).

This draw does not allow Raf to come out of his winless streak, which now stands at six matches, or to leave the place of play-off, but can give him confidence before the next deadlines.
