Licensed by RC Lens in June 2018, after having maintained the club in Ligue 2 after a frankly difficult season, Eric Sikora is back at the club in which he has played all his life. At 52, he is working on a voluntary basis to train the young players of the training center. Its specific mission? Prepare them for the art of defending. A tailor-made program for someone who has defended artesian colors nearly six hundred times in his career.
Eric Assadourian’s return to the club is no stranger to that of Eric Sikora. The two have worked together in the past and had really good results with the youngsters Sang et Or. The Assadourian – Sikora duo, for example, led RC Lens to the title of French U19 champion against the Girondins de Bordeaux (1-0).
Eric Sikora, who arrived at RC Lens in 1980, was notably French champion with the club in 1998, won the Coupe de la Ligue in 1999 and participated in a UEFA Cup semi-final in 2000.
