Ensenada, Baja California.- After the citizen proposal had been approved by the Ensenada Cabildo, this Friday the newly installed Nomenclature Council voted in favor of the Hidalgo neighborhood gym being named after the promoter Jesús Zapata.
The councilor Raúl Vera informed him with the following publication, through which he requested the donation of keys to be able to place a plaque with the name of the honoree, promoter for more than 30 years of the Colonia Hidalgo Basketball League.
“It’s official: Yesterday the Nomenclature Council, recently installed at the request of its server, voted in favor of calling the basketball gym in the Hidalgo neighborhood with the name of CP JESÚS ZAPATA MÁRQUEZ, an initiative promoted by the #CommissionDelDeporte y that will finally be a reality.
Now, to unveil a plaque in honor of this promoter so loved by Ensenada athletes, such as #RegidorIndependiente, I will be calling on all citizens to DONATE KEYS that will be cast for the realization of this project.
Congratulations, Zapata! Honor to whom honor is due.
