Czech loser. David fired badly and scored only four points

Markéta Davidová, who was the best of the five Czech national team members in Kontiolahti, Finland, won only four points for 37th place in the sprint of the Biathlon World Cup. She had the thirteenth time on the 7.5 km track, but had to circle the penalty three times. The shooting did not go well for her national team colleagues. The Swede Hanna Öbergová was happy with the championship, two net items were the ticket to the podium.

Davidová set out on the track as the first of the entire 104-member starting field. She started the race well, but two mistakes on the opening item knocked her down and she couldn’t even handle the stand. “I’m sorry,” she said in an interview for Czech Television.

“A sprint with three penalty rounds, that’s really a lot. I don’t know why the wounds went up that way, if it’s breathing at that racing pace. We have to analyze my bad shooting with the coaches, “David said.

Moravec fired accurately again and fit into the top ten

Other representatives could not be satisfied with the action at the shooting range. “My lair with two mistakes deserves the ears of shame,” Eva Puskarčíková admitted. Lucie Charvátová ended up at the edge of the top ten.

The biathletes stay in Kontiolahti, another serial sprint awaits them there on Thursday. From Sunday’s 7.5 km race there was a duel between the Swedes and the Norwegians. They rented the first five places of the results list for themselves and the winning Öberg got a yellow number for the leading woman in the series. The defender of the big crystal globe and the winner of Saturday’s endurance race, the Italian Dorothea Wiererová, took 22nd place
