Crouch a Saint after Crows are calling late to avoid fulfilling the offer

BRAD Crouch is officially a St Kilda player after Adelaide decided not to honor the Saint’s offer for the midfielder on Wednesday afternoon.

The Saints filed papers Sunday afternoon to acquire the restricted free agent for a contract of up to five years valued at approximately $ 600,000 to $ 650,000 per season.

However, under the rules of the free agency, the Crows have decided not to keep the Saints’ deal within the three day window and Crouch will join the Saints.

Adelaide receives compensation for the second round (currently No. 23).

Crouch will bolster a Saints midfield that already includes Jack Steele, Seb Ross, Dan Hannebery, Zak Jones and Jade Gresham.

However, the 26-year-old will be banned for the first two games of 2021 after being banned for an illegal substance in September.

The Crows had promised to comply with the Saint’s offer if they hadn’t made a first choice (currently # 2).
