Céline Boutier fails in playoff in Dubai

Céline Boutier came close to victory on Friday at the Dubai Moonlight Classic. On her way to sign a final card of 68, the Parisian narrowly missed a birdie-chip to close the deal at 18, leaving Minjee Lee to come back to -10 equally.

In the playoffs in the darkness of Dubai, this tournament being played only in the light of huge streetlights, Boutier remained powerless against a beautiful string of the Australian to win the title. The Frenchwoman signs her first top-3 of the year in Europe and climbs to 11th place in the order of merit; while she is a member of the LPGA Tour, let’s remember.

Céline Herbin, the other driving force this week in the Middle East, offers herself a 21st final place (-2 total).
