Boris Becker will stop being the coach of Germany

Becker, who took over as director of German men’s tennis at the end of August 2017, said in the statement that he will continue to be linked to DTB, the DPA agency reported.

“If my time permits and the opportunity arises, I can imagine taking on an even bigger task at the German Tennis Federation,” noted the three-time Wimbledon winner, who in practice functioned as a tennis ambassador for his country and oversaw the task of the Davis Cup team boss, Michael Kohlmann.

The Federation of Germany indicated that precisely Kohlmann will be responsible for German men’s tennis in the future.
