The Cleveland Browns placed quarterback Baker Mayfield’s name on the COVID-19 list on Sunday as he is currently in quarantine after coming into contact with an infected employee.

Mayfield tested negative for the coronavirus, but must still self-isolate due to close contact with a sick person, according to protocol put in place by the NFL and the Players Association.

In his third season in the NFL, Mayfield, the No. 1 pick in the 2018 Draft, completed 61.4% of his passes for 1,514 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also suffered seven interceptions.

The Browns are taking advantage of their week off and will return to training on Monday for a game against the Houston Texans next Sunday. The Ohio club is 5-3 this season, but sits third in the American Association’s North section behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-0) and Baltimore Ravens (7-2) .

Running back Nick Chubb is expected to resume training this week. He suffered a ligament sprained right knee against the Dallas Cowboys on October 4. Before injuring himself, he had amassed 335 yards and four touchdowns in 57 carries and four games.

According to the NFL Network, he could be in uniform the next time his family meets.
