ATP – Finals> Djokovic: “Age is not a problem for me, I may have one, two or three years left to win Grand Slams again”

Legitimate favorite of the 2020 edition of the London Masters due to his record in this competition (5 times winners) and his indoor skills, Novak Djokovic has not yet won this event since 2015. The fault is accumulated fatigue during of the different seasons when the Serbian preferred to focus on Grand Slam tournaments. Asked about a possible retirement when he was 33 years old on May 22, the world number 1 is not about to hang up.

“I don’t see age as a problem, maybe I have one, two or three years to win more Grand Slams. Of course, I have to be a little more strategic from next season on creating my schedule, which tournaments I want to prioritize and where I want to reach my peak. But as long as the desire is there, given that I am in good health and have the support of my family, I will continue to play. I don’t see it as an obligation, it’s not a financial issue or anything like that, I keep enjoying it and want to be competitive at the highest level. As long as I feel like this, I’ll be here for a long time. I don’t want to set an expiration date yet », said the native of Belgrade during the media day this Friday in London.
