ATP> ATP against Djokovic: “war” is clearly declared

This Wednesday, November 18 will be an important date in the history of ATP and in particular for Novak Djokovic who has now understood the intentions of his big boss the Italian Andrea Gaudenzi.

After almost praising the Serbian’s initiative in founding PTPA, Andrea had been more firm in the media recently. It should have alerted us to his intentions. It is also assumed that he has surely been challenged by some of the big names on the circuit who do not think that the initiative of the world number 1 really serves their interests. “A new rule voted overnight to counter Djokovic and Pospisil”

Nominated by the players to be a member of the ATP Player Council and not a candidate as written, Novak Djokovic like Vasek Pospisil could not therefore honor their candidacy since on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the ATP voted a new rule which is clearly a declaration of “war”.

This rule is simple, a player cannot be a member of a board of two different associations which care about the interests of ATP players.

As Novak coldly explained: “Now I get it”
