Alabama leads Notre Dame after Clemson falls from # 1

It was a good time for Alabama to have a bye week. The Crimson Tide takes first place in the Amway coaches survey as the top 5 are completely redesigned.

Alabama is advancing at Notre Dame thanks to Clemson’s double extension. The Tide received 55 out of 62 votes in first place. They return next Saturday against the fighting LSU.

Notre Dame skips two spots to second thanks to its big win. The Fighting Irish got four No. 1 votes, their first of the season, helping them pass the state of Ohio. The Buckeyes, who did their business against Rutgers, got the remaining three votes in first place. Clemson only slips to fourth place and is still well positioned to keep the college football playoff streak alive but with no margin for error.

Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is pressured in the second half at Bryant Denny Stadium by Devonte White, Georgia defender.

Position No. 5 will certainly raise some arguments. Florida jumps thanks to its rivalry win against then fifth-placed Georgia just one election point ahead of Texas A&M at this point. Yes, that would be the same Aggies team that toppled the Gators a few weeks ago. Both SEC members pushed Cincinnati forward, dropping a Bearcats to # 7 despite another convincing win in the US.
