The Wizards club of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has decided to keep the Latvian basketball player Anžejas Pasčņiks. This means that his contract is guaranteed until February 1. Until now, the player will have the opportunity to prove himself, as well as guaranteed to receive 350 thousand dollars. It should be recalled that the NBA season will begin on December 22nd.
The guaranteed date for the $1.5M contract for Anzejs Pasecniks (Washington) has been changed to Feb. 1.
There is currently $350K guaranteed.

Yesterday, Yahoo Sports reviewer Keith Smith wrote that Paschnik was not guaranteed a contract for next season, but that would have turned into such a situation if he had not been included in the list of vulnerable players yesterday. On the other hand, by including a basketball player in the list of vulnerable players, he could be taken by any other team, but if this did not happen, the player would become a free agent.
The decision had to be taken by 00:00 Washington time and athlete’s agent Artūrs Kalnītis managed to get the Latvian to be able to play “Wizards” at least until February. Smith writes that this is a wise decision on the part of Pasečnik and his representatives.
This is smart by Pasecniks and his reps. He likely would have been cut otherwise. Now he gets to at least go to camp and work with the team into the season potentially. https://t.co/Q1J7Vkigrn

Pasečnik for 2020/21. The contract for the 2021/22 season is a partially guaranteed contract. season not guaranteed, but before 2022/23. According to the information available in the payroll database Spotrac, the Wizards may award him a qualification contract as a limited free agent for the 2007/01 season.
In Paschnik’s situation, simply put, it is that the Wizards assess before each season whether they want to keep a Latvian.
Last week, the Washington club gave Pasečnik only minimal playing time in the Orlando bubble, although there were a number of regular players in the line-up and the Wizards’ eight-game tie didn’t make a difference. It is not known why the Latvian, who was not injured, did not have more time to play.
Thomas Brian and Robin Lopez are now at the center of the Wizards. It is unlikely that Pasečnik will be able to compete with any of these players.
