Wenrigerode l After the departure of the department head and trainer Ulf-Dieter Paul, the badminton department of the Wernigeröder SV Rot-Weiß has been reorganized since the beginning of the school year and training has started again. For the time being, once a week, small and large badminton enthusiasts will chase the light shuttlecock through the Gießerweg sports hall in Wernigerode on Thursday from 7 to 8.30 p.m.
Beginners welcome
The game is played on four fields, either as singles or doubles. The training is currently taking place with the aim of getting other players and those interested in badminton enthusiastic, and once a week to move freely and have fun playing with and against each other.
“We would be very happy to see new faces and interested parties. Just drop by and get a taste of the training. Badminton rackets are available, so everyone only has to bring normal sports gear and can get started right away, ”explains Maximilian Zimmer, Vice President of the WSV Rot-Weiß, who is himself a member of the badminton department and regularly participates in training.
“First and foremost, we are interested in popular sport and ensuring that like-minded people get together and exercise together and do something for their health,” adds Maximilian Zimmer.
