Scotsman took video game fever too seriously (and perhaps the effects of quarantine)
We already knew that Football Manager is a video game that arouses the emotions of many fans, making them feel almost as if they were real coaches, but what comes to us from Scotland is something we have never seen … or imagined. Probably also under the ‘effects’ of the forced quarantine due to the coronavirus, Jamie Towers, a player from Ayr, decided to celebrate the title won in the video game as if everything were real, throwing a torch from his window in celebration.
“It was a very close fight. It was until the last round and Celtic lost at home to Rangers. I had to win against Aberdeen and I ended up getting it. It was crazy,” the 20-year-old told SportBible, who after a first celebration decided to take the next step, launching the torch from its window. “I decided to do it as a joke, but when I started celebrating my bottom neighbor he started celebrating too.” The moment was precisely captured by the neighbor, with a photo that would eventually go viral on social networks …
