Sergio Llull: “I assume my responsibility, what happened last night should never happen”

Gabi Deck: “I’m sorry for what happened in the match, it’s something that shouldn’t happen again”

The basketball players Guerschon Yabusele, Sergio Llull and Gabriel Deck apologized this Friday for their role in the brawl that broke out with 1:40 remaining in the duel between Real Madrid and Partizán, with the Frenchman “deeply” regretting his behavior and apologizing to the Serbian team and the Australian Dante Exum.

Yabusele was one of the sad protagonists of the ‘battle’ that broke out between the players of both teams and with the game already decided in favor of the visitors (80-95). After a hard foul by Llull on Kevin Punter, the players got into a fight and the power forward was one of the most aggressive, turning around and hitting Exum against the ground on the pitch.

“I deeply regret my behavior in the match. Basketball is about sportsmanship and friendship. My sincere apologies to Partizan, a club with which we always have a great relationship, to Dante Exum and his family, to my teammates, to my club and to everyone the fans”, indicated Yabusele in a ‘post’ on his official Instragram account.

Sergio Llull also apologized for his action against Punter. “Last night should never happen on a basketball court. I assume my responsibility for making that harsh foul that triggered the subsequent disaster. My apologies to all basketball fans,” Llull wrote in a message on his Twitter profile. .
