At the beginning of March, the badminton club changed its name to Le Verger Volant, with a partially renewed office. It is composed as follows: Gaëlle Le Roux, president; Anita Lemierre, treasurer; Arnaud Pilard, secretary; Hubert Sellier, website manager. And three members: Sabrina Boissel, Romuald Godard and Nicolas Pestel.
The badminton club has about thirty members in leisure and competition. Numbers have declined with the pandemic, despite some new registrations this season.
Registrations can still be taken during the various sessions, namely: Wednesday, from 8:30 p.m., with lessons given by Jérôme Vicent, graduate trainer, every other Wednesday, outside school holidays (the next lesson will take place on the 4th November; Friday, from 8:45 p.m.; Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the possibility of coming with the family thanks to the family option.
This season, the badminton club will have three teams registered in competition which will evolve in D3. Depending on health developments, the club hopes to be able to organize, in 2021, its annual badminton tournament for the benefit of the association Des étoiles pour Tilouann, a 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.
