The 2020 NBA draft will take place on November 18 virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic, in the same way that other leagues already had to do such as the NFL (American Football) or WNBA (Women’s Basketball), as officially confirmed by the league today.

The draft, in which the 30 teams select the best talents in college basketball and abroad, will be held for the first time at ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Connecticut.

Both NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and his deputy, Mark Tatum, will announce the first and second round selections from the studio, where you will virtually connect with the top chosen players.

The pandemic, which forced a suspension from the NBA from March to last July, caused the postponement of this draft ceremony, originally scheduled to be held on June 25 at the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets.

After the lottery for spots last August, the Minnesota Timberwolves will select first in the draft.

Then it will be time for the representatives of the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons.

Adam Silver, commissioner of the NBA, will be one of those in charge of publicizing the first and second round selections. Gentleness.

In the list of players to be chosen in the first places, point guard LaMelo Ball (Illawarra Hawks, from Australia), guard Anthony Edwards (University of Georgia) and center James Wiseman (University of Memphis) stand out.
