The Latvian team was awarded 17 out of 23 points by Andžejs Lebedevs, who was seriously injured this summer and won five of the six races, but the second one. Five points were awarded to Oleg Mikhailov and one to Yevgeny Kostigov.
Poland won with 25 points, while France, which won third place, had 21 points. The Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary and Slovakia followed.
Last year, Lebedev and Mikhailov won bronze at the European Championships. Lebedev has two silver and bronze prizes in the European Championships.
