«The sport that drives you crazy» ist the title of Gilles Simon’s autobiography (“Ce sport qui rend fou”), published in French on Wednesday. The former top 10 player from Nice already dedicates the second chapter to Roger Federer – in a mixture of admiration, resentment and frustration, which he has evidently built up over the years, he criticizes its influence and image.

The 35-year-old comes under the title “Der Mythos Federer” always is still ranked 58th in the world rankings, at the end: “Federer has already cost us twenty years. It would be good if it didn’t cost us twenty more. ” And he explains why it would be good if Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were to break their records soon.
