Sergio Romero’s wife addresses criticism of Man Utd for failed transfer

Sergio Romero’s wife has elaborated on her criticism of Manchester United after her husband didn’t move on the deadline.

After Dean Henderson returned from his loan at Sheffield United, the Argentine was further pecking at Old Trafford.

David de Gea remains first choice under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and leaves Romero in limbo.

Everton tried to sign the former Monaco star to compete with Jordan Pickford.

But the Toffees couldn’t agree on United, much to Eliana Guercio’s scorn.

She targeted the Red Devils on Instagram and slammed her lack of professionalism during the transfer window.

She said: “It was a very stressful day for us. I have to say that I am sad, very sad on the one hand and happy on the other.

“I’m sad because Sergio deserved the opportunity to go to another club. He showed what he can do and he worked every day.”

Manchester United want to plan their way back to the top. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already brought in Donny van de Beek but Jadon Sancho remains Manchester United’s number one target.
