The German defender Antonio Rüdiger has shown his least good side in the Nations League match against Switzerland. In the extra time, he planted his elbow right in Nico Elvedi’s face.
Antonio Rüdiger had already left an uncertain impression against the Swiss in defensive terms and in the extra time he did not make a good turn in attack either. In an aerial duel with Nico Elvedi, he pounded the Swiss with a solid elbow punch.
Elvedi saw a few stars and the referee possibly also, because he thought a yellow card was sufficient for Rüdiger’s foul. Fortunately for the German, there is no VAR in the group stage of the Nations League.
