RFS won the Spartak at home with a 2: 1 (1: 1) win.
The first real opportunity to score a goal for the seafarers was in the 20th minute, when the RFS goal crossing was closed. Although the most dangerous episode until then was for Jūrmala club, the home team took the lead in the 35th minute, Emersons Santana stood out in the ranks. Five minutes later Santana could have scored his second goal, but “Spartaks” stopped the rolling ball at the same goal line.
A minute later, Spartaka’s best goal scorer and captain Nemanja Belakovičs hit the partner’s raw ball in the penalty area and reached a draw with a blow on the ground.

In the first half, the initiative was more often owned by the home team, who created some dangerous episodes in the opponent’s penalty area, but not enough to score. Lukas Silagadze also hit dangerously at the end of the first half, but the show flew past the goal.
In the 55 minute, Valmiera’s striker Jibrils Geis found that Konstantīns Mahnovskis left the field after a long shot, but the ball flew over the crossbar. Three minutes later, Mahnovskis saved the team from a short distance from a safe distance from a safe goal loss.

The rest of the time the goal was no longer scored, the game ended in a draw.
“Ventspils” has not managed to celebrate the victory of “Valmiera” in the last six mutual fights.
Ventspils had a series of three victories in August, followed by a loss and a draw against the leading teams of the Premier League, but in the previous round against the latter “Tukums 2000” / TSS managed to return to the victory trail (2: 0).
The other three games of the 21st round will take place on Sunday. “Metta” will host “Jelgava” at home, “Tukums 2000” / TSS will fight with “Daugavpils” in their field, but “Riga” will fight with “Liepāja”, which has taken a good pace, in “Skonto” stadium.
After 20 game rounds, the first place in the tournament table with 54 points is taken by “Riga”, which is three points ahead of RFS, which has one more game at its expense. 36 points in 21 games are for “Valmiera”, 31 points – for “Ventspils”, 29 – for “Liepāja” and 28 – for “Spartak”. “Jelgava” is further with 18 points, but “Daugavpils” and “Metta” have accumulated 16 points each, while “Tukums 2000” / TSS has reached five points.
This season, ten teams will start in the Super League, which is one more than last year and two more than yesterday. Also this season, the legionnaire’s limit has been raised to eight players. This means that there must be at least three players prepared for the association on the court at the same time. Last year, the limit was five foreign players.
As in many other countries, after the coronavirus break in the regulations of the Premier League championship in the 2020 season, the number of permitted player substitutions has been increased from three to five.
Due to the three-month forced break, three will be played instead of the four planned laps this season.
Last year, “Riga” was crowned Latvian champion, but RFS won its first trophy in the history of the club, which won the national cup.
