KIEV, KOMPAS.com – Alvaro Morata performed brilliantly in the match Dynamo Kiev vs Juventus which ended with a score of 0-2.

Dynamo Kiev vs Juventus is the first Group G match of the Champions League which takes place at the NSK Olimpiyskiy Stadium, Tuesday (20/10/2020).

Alvaro Morata scored two of Juventus’ winning goals (46 ‘and 84’).

In addition, Morata also made Pirlo beat his teacher who is now the coach of Dynamo Kiev, Mircea Lucescu.

Lucescu is the coach who gave Pirlo the opportunity to debut as a senior level player when they both worked at Brescia in 1995.

The victory over Dynamo Kiev made Juventus temporarily lead the Champions League Group G standings with a collection of three points.

On the other hand, Dynamo Kiev stuck at number three without collecting points.

In the first half, Juventus appeared quite dominating with the ball possession percentage reaching 55 percent.

Juventus also managed to fire three shots on target compared to one belonging to Dynamo Kiev.

However, the brilliant performance of Dynamo Kiev goalkeeper George Buschan made Juventus fail to score in the first half.

The second half has only been running for a minute, Juventus managed to surprise Dynamo Kiev by scoring the first goal.

Juventus’ opener this time came from Federico Chiesa’s individual action on the right side of the Dynamo Kiev defense.

After passing one player, Chiesa sent a low cross towards Aaron Ramsey who was standing in the penalty box.

Ramsey didn’t choose to shoot but instead made a pass back heel back despite being in front of goal.

Ramsey’s bait was immediately greeted by Dejan Kulusevski with a hard left-footed shot.

George Buschan made another great save when he brushed off Kulusevski’s shot.

However, Buschan still conceded because he woke up late when Alvaro Morata who was at the mouth of the goal grabbed the ball vomiting.

Juventus coach, Andrea Pirlo, made changes on the front lines in the 56th minute.

Pirlo pulled out Dejan Kulusevski to give Argentina national team star Paulo Dybala a chance to play.

Entering the 70th minute, Dynamo Kiev managed to take control of the game after Juventus’ attacks began to loosen up.

Dynamo Kiev got a chance to score when Serhiy Sydorchuk fired a hard shot from outside the penalty box.

The opportunity failed to produce a goal because Serhiy Sydorchuk’s shot was aimed right at Wojciech Szczesny.

Continuously attacking, Dynamo Kiev actually missed in the 84th minute after Alvaro Morata scored his second goal.

Utilizing Juan Cuadrado’s pass from the right side, Morata escaped control and managed to deflect the ball into the net with a header.

Despite continuing to lock up the Juventus defense, Dynamo Kiev still failed to score the equalizer.

Dynamo Kiev attacks always fail to produce goals because of poor finishing.

No additional goals were created. The 2-0 score for Juventus’ victory lasted until the referee blew the long whistle signaling the end of the match.
