Report: Browns fear serious knee injury to Odell Beckham Jr

The Bengals and the Browns were involved in a shooting inside Paul Brown Stadium that ended in Cleveland’s favor. However, the victory of Kevin Stefanski’s team, which is 5-2, it had a cost that could be high.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Browns fear that Odell Beckham has suffered a serious injury to his knee during the duel. Also, a report of Akron Beacon Journal notes that the recipient will undergo an MRI on the joint to determine the damage.

Beckham’s injury occurred in the first quarter of the engagement. Following an interception by Darius Phillips of Baker Mayfield, OBJ tried to avoid a major return and received a knee contact, for which he was withdrawn from the match.

OBJ was coming off his second worst game since joining the Browns in 2019. In week 6 he only logged 25 yards in the loss against the SteelersFigures that are only better than what he achieved in Week 4 of 2019, when Cleveland surprised the Ravens.

Passers duel

Despite Beckham’s misfortune, the spotlight for the game was on the quarterbacks, especially Joe Burrow. The rookie amassed 406 passing yards, three touchdowns and a 112.5 rating, his highest numbers in the NFL.

For its part, Mayfield threw five touchdown passes (career high) and rating of 135.6, the third best he has achieved in the league; only behind 151.2 (vs Atlanta) and 143.9 (in Cincinnati), both obtained in the 2018 campaign.
