Other: Reihle wins medal set – sport

Before the start of the tournament, an award for special achievements since the last state championships. Edi Klein, youth manager of the Baden-Württemberg Badminton Association (BWBV), and BWBV Vice President Karl-Heinz Hohenadel received Nadja-Christine Reihle and her doubles partner Melissa Schmidt (TSG Schopfheim) for third place in the U13 doubles for the Germans Championship 2019 a letter of recognition from the association presidium and a cash bonus.

As a young age, Reihle then played for the first time at championships in the U15. The 13-year-old student started in mixed with Tristan Inhoven (BSV Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen) from third place. With three clear wins, the two played their way to the final. The encounter with national player Anna-Lena Zorn and Jonas Schmid (BSV Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen) was not for the faint of heart. Reihle / Inhoven lost 19:21 and 19:21. Reihle was also placed third in the individual competition. After a bye at the start she defeated Sarah Koch (BC Offenburg) clearly with 21: 7 and 21: 7. In the quarter-finals there was a duel with her former doubles partner, the nimble Sarah Firl (VfL Sindelfingen). The Haigerloch woman reached the semi-finals with a 21: 8/21:18 success. The draw wanted it to come to a duel with doubles partner Melissa Schmidt. The two “twins”, who are almost identical to the minute and who have played successfully together for almost three years, gave each other nothing. After three sets, Nadja-Christine Reihle lost 14:21, 21:17, 15:21 and came in third.
