The 2020/21 NFL season is the 101st season in American football National Football League. The start of the NLF season was scheduled for September 10, 2020; due to the corona epidemic, there were no preseason games in 2020. The regular season finally ends on January 3, 2021, the final of the season, the Super Bowl LV, expected to be played on February 7th at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
The 32 NFL teams play 16 games, each with a bye week, on a total of 17 match days during the regular season. After the end of the NFL season, the best teams will meet in the playoffs for the Superbowl 55. Experts are currently assuming that the 2020 season will take place and that there will be few failures. NFL-Saison 2020: Teams, Divisions & Conferences
32 teams will take part in the 2020 NFL season, which in turn will be divided into two conferences. The American Football Conference (AFC) and 16 teams each form the National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference is divided into four divisions (East, North, South, West) of four teams. Start the NFL Season 2020:
The 2020/21 season is running. Despite the corona pandemic, the teams completed the training camps, but in their own team facilities. The camps usually took place far away from home, but this year “at home”. There were also no training sessions with other teams.
Before today’s opening game on the night of September 10th to September 11th, the final cut of the squad to 53 men took place on September 5th, and on September 6th the teams set the practice squad. The opening game will eventually be played between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans.
Preseason – August 13th to September 3rd – canceled!
The preseason games of the 2020/21 NFL season, which should start on August 13, 2020 with the first preseason round and end on September 3 with the 4th preseason, have been deleted. The Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, the game between Dallas and Pittsburgh, was also canceled due to the corona pandemic.
Regular Season – 10. September bus 3. Januar
The NFL started the new season on September 10th. The season opener for the regular season took place on September 10th (night on September 11th, CET) between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs. As always, the defending champion opened the season. In 17 game weeks, the 32 teams play a total of 256 games to get into the playoffs. The regular season ends with the last games on January 3rd.
Playoffs – January 9th to February 7th
The playoffs start on January 9th and 10th and consist of the Wild Card Playoffs, the Divisional Playoffs and the Championship Games. A total of 8 teams, division winners 3 and 4 as well as two wildcard teams from each conference compete against each other. In the Divisional Round, the four winners face division winners 1 and 2 of each conference. These have already qualified for the divisional playoffs in the regular season. In the semi-finals, two teams face each other in each conference.

Super Bowl – February 7th
The Super Bowl is the final of the 2020/21 NFL season and will be played on February 7th in Florida at Raymond James Stadium. The winner of the AFC competes against the winner of the NFC.

International Games:
Contrary to the usual routine, the NFL will not host any international games or games outside of the United States this year. The five scheduled international games in 2020, four in London and one in Mexico City, will not take place. The reason for this is the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Two home games at London’s Wembley Stadium should be played by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and two more games should take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The hosts would have been the Atlanta Falcons and the Miami Dolphins. A game of the Arizona Cardinals was planned in Mexico City, the five opponents had not yet been determined.
