Latvian hockey goalkeeper Punnenovs healed from injury and extended contract with Swiss club

It is emphasized that with the extension of the contract, “Tigers” managed to keep one of the most important figures in the team.

“This extension of the contract is extremely valuable and is also an important sign that we want to fulfill our ambitions. We are very happy and proud that Punnenov has chosen to work with Tigers,” quotes Mark Eihman, the club’s sports director. For Punnenov, who has been a “tiger” since the 2015/16 season, it was also important for family reasons to stay in the Emmental Valley, where Langnava is located.

“I have got to know the club and I appreciate it. In addition, we feel at home here and are very happy about another year we will be able to spend in Langnava,” sums up the 26-year-old goalkeeper.

The club reports that tonight Punnenov is scheduled to return to the field in a home game against Rappersville’s “Jonah Lakers”.

It has already been reported that on September 10, the goalkeeper of the Latvian national team Ivars Punnenovs was injured in the match of the Swiss national hockey league (NLA) “Tigers” with “Lausanne”.

In the match in which Langnava’s team won 1-0, Punnenov was injured in the 20th minute.

Punnenov enters the “tiger” goal for the sixth season in a row.
