John Ross confirms his transfer request to leave Bengals

Since heading into a losing season on the previous schedule, the Bengals they found themselves in a rebuilding position. Still under the same conditions within the organization of Cincinnati, It has been pointed out that some players want to go out to join another dressing room.

Carlos Dunlap, who holds the record for the most quarterback sacks (82.5) in Cincinnati team history after 10 1/2 years wearing their colors, was traded just this week to Seattle.

Rumors of his departure from Cincinnati were not ignored by the player. Dunlap posted his Ohio city home on his Twitter account after he reported his possible departure from the club.

John Ross was another of whom mention was made. Like his former teammate, the wide receiver confirmed his desire to leave the Bengals.

“It’s no secret that I asked for a trade. Trade me if that’s how everyone feels. I’m healthy and eager to play. I know I can be productive.”, defended Ross, who has two receptions of seven passes that have turned in his direction for 17 yards. “It’s hard to do what you love when you don’t really participate in it. Trust me, it’s not football I don’t like.”he wrote on his Twitter account.

Ross came to Cincinnati in 2017 as a first-round pick from the University of Washington. The year before, Ross reached 500 yards. This season, however, he played 84% of his team’s replays in the first week and from then on he has only been on 29 offensive plays.

Geno Atkins Y A.J. Green, with more than a decade on the team, like Dunlap, are other players mentioned in the report.

Showdown against Tennessee

Next week, the Bengals host Ohio Titans, whose only loss of the season came in yesterday’s game against the Steelers as kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed the tying field goal in the final two minutes.

As the Titans are the favorites, the meeting confines the Bengals to begin to find rhythm to the project that has not managed to get the club out of the frustration in which it is, as they have not won a playoff game since 1990.
