Finishing in third place, Joan Mir got an additional 16 points in the Aragon GP race.

The additional 16 points made Joan Mir take over Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) at the top of the 2020 MotoGP standings.

Joan Mir currently tops the 2020 MotoGP riders’ standings with a collection of 121 points.

Meanwhile, Fabio Quartararo dropped to second place with a collection of 115 points after finishing 18th at the 2020 Aragon Grand Prix.

Successfully leading the standings does not make Joan Mir think about his chance to win the 2020 MotoGP World Championship.

“I just focus on every race by race,” he added.

“I don’t really care about becoming a MotoGP champion. What I’m looking for is a win in every race.”

“So I just need to focus on winning every race. After that if I have enough points advantage then I just start thinking about becoming a champion in MotoGP,” said Joan Mir.
