Canada could have three players in the WTA Top 100 in the very near future.

In the rankings update on Monday, young Leylah Annie Fernandez climbed 11 ranks to take the 89th place in the world. The 18-year-old Laval resident has reached the third round of the Roland-Garros tournament.

For his part, Eugenie Bouchard jumped 28 places; it is now 140th in the world. The Montrealer had also managed to get to the third round, but was defeated by Iga Swiatek, who eventually won the tournament in Paris. The 19-year-old Pole has also gained 37 ranks thanks to this victory. She is now 37th in the WTA rankings.
