Diego Schwartzman reappears in Germany after being semi-finalist at Roland Garros

Back on the circuit, Diego Schwartzman, a recent semi-finalist at Roland Garros, will face German Oscar Otte for the round of 16 of the ATP 250 in Cologne, in which he will begin his European tour on fast surface and indoors.

El Peque, ninth in the ATP world rankings after his brilliant performance in Paris, where he lost in the semifinals to Spanish Rafael Nadal (2), then champion, will debut around 1 p.m. and will be televised on DIRECTV Sports (612/1612 HD ).

As second favorite, the Argentine will start his participation in the round of 16 against Otte (141), who beat Austrian Dennis Novak (91) in the opening round by 6-3 and 6-2.

In the event of winning, the 28-year-old tennis player, who is competing for the first time in his career as the top 10, will play again on Friday in the quarterfinals against Spanish Alejandro Davidovich (64), who beat American Steve Johnson (71 ) by 7-6 (7-3) and 6-3.

Schwartzman is the second seed for the title in Cologne behind German Alexander Zverev (7), who also debuted yesterday in the round of 16 with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Australian John Millman (44).
