The entire professional workforce of the Pau-Lacq-Orthez basketball team is positive for Covid-19. This observation comes after new tests were carried out on Friday.
L’Élan Béarnais indicates, in a press release, that “following the identification of a COVID-19 cluster on Monday September 28 (11 people including 4 players from the professional workforce), all contact cases were tested on Friday 02 October. These new tests were positive for 5 other professional players ”.
It is therefore “the entire professional workforce that is concerned as well as almost all of the Hopes workforce,” he says.
“The two teams are at a standstill, the club continuing to apply the LNB health protocol. Each person tested positive is supervised and benefits from a medical follow-up, just like his entourage ”, specifies the same press release.
The people, who had tested positive on Monday, September 28, will take a new test on Monday, the club adds.
Under the health protocol of the LNB, Pau, whose match against Le Mans scheduled for September 28 had been postponed until the last moment, should see the one against Monaco scheduled for October 12, also postponed.
