The Mercedes team has announced that a second team member has tested positive for corona. In addition to this employee, five other team members have been placed in isolation. Six reinforcements are now being flown in from England.
This second positive test follows an earlier positive test that Mercedes announced on Thursday. Then it concerned one employee. As a result, the entire team was tested again. One team member tested positive, for another the result was ambiguous.

The latter team member is being tested again, but these two Mercedes employees are already isolated. The same is true for a further four other members of staff who have been in close contact with the first two.
Mercedes suddenly has six team members who are not available. For that reason, six substitutes are flown in from England to Germany for the Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. Mercedes emphasizes to work closely with the FIA in the approach and settlement of this matter.
