Colombia Selection: Luis Manuel Orejuela would be one of the novelties in the call | Colombia selection

The Colombian National Team will have two interesting duels on November 13 and 17 when they face Uruguay and Ecuador respectively, for the third and fourth dates of the South American Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022.

One of the novelties that the tricolor will have in the call that will be delivered on November 8, will be the inclusion, in what is expected, of two right-backs different from those previously called, since, as is well known, Santiago Arias and Stefan Medina are injured and are in the process of recovery.

Precisely, one of the possible players who would replace Arias and Medina in the position, would be Luis Manuel Orejuela, player of the Gremio de Porto Alegre, who in a dialogue with Blu Radio confirmed that his club received a letter from the Colombian Federation of Football.

“The club told me that they received a letter from the Federation, so now we have to wait for the final list. I am waiting, working very hard and asking God a lot, to be with the Colombian National Team.”

“A member of the national team’s coaching staff asked me, when the matches ended here in Brazil: how I am feeling and if I ended up with any discomfort. It is always pending,” said the right-back.

Finally, the 25-year-old from Cali gave his opinion on what the tricolor did in the first two qualifying rounds:

“The team was very good, it seems like a team that has been working for a long time, very strong at the top. I think it will go very far and will qualify for the World Cup.”

And about Renato, his current coach in Brazil, he assured: “Yes, as everyone knows, here in Gremio the coach in Renato, who as a player had a lot of experience and has taught me many things. He tells me to be more careful in branding, than what I have it from attack. I think I can contribute a lot to the National Team, “he concluded.
