The national image of college football will become even clearer on Saturday when the Big Ten debuts in the 2020 season. Ohio State No. 5 is assumed to be battling for a spot in the college football playoffs, but what about Penn State No. 8? The Nittany Lions open up to a worthy opponent when they take on an Indiana team that has had an 8-5 season. Penn State won’t be the only Pennsylvania state team to be in the spotlight on Saturday either.
Notre Dame No. 3 plays in Pittsburgh in a critical game for the 4-0 Fighting Irish, who need to show more dominance if they want to hold the state of Ohio back in the polls.
A total of 19 ranking teams will be in action on Saturday and four games between ranking opponents – one each from ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and AAC. All of this on a jam-packed day of college football that starts at 12:00 PM ET and continues after midnight when BYU # 12 takes on the state of Texas in a nightly affair.
