“My wife Jules, she is an amazing person,” said the former Fremantle player.
“Probably not many people know, but she owned a salon in Perth before we decided to move to Brisbane. She had to sell this to come here and follow my dreams.
“She did very well there, but she always puts me in front of her when she doesn’t have to.
“She is the most selfless person I know and my greatest support. Thank you Jules, I love you.”

“I won’t be able to get through everyone for the Footy Club, but the staff and the coaching team as well as everyone involved in the club, especially this year in such difficult times. I think we did a great job and I’m so proud to be part of the organization from where they came to where we are now, ”he said.
“It’s a credit to the football club as a whole, and it starts at the top with Andrew Wellington and Greg Swan down to David Noble and Chris Fagan. I am so grateful to be part of the organization.

“For our players, this award is really for the club and the playgroup. Without her, I definitely wouldn’t have this medal. You have to be on a pretty successful side and win a lot of games to get that. I thank my teammates very much for their work. I love to play with them. You are a large group of people. “
After thanking the AFL, Neale mentioned the club’s fans who were no longer there after their team’s 40-point loss to Geelong in the pre-finals on Saturday at The Gabba.
“To all of our Brisbane Lions fans, sorry last night. We didn’t play our best footy and we were beaten by a better team that night, ”he said.
“I have the feeling that we are on the right track and that we are striving for bigger and bigger things over the next few years. Stay with us. “
