Redknapp strikes back Romero’s wife
Harry Redknapp has hit Sergio Romero’s wife back after lamenting Manchester United’s decision to keep the goalkeeper.
The Argentine was dying to leave after being relegated to the third election after Dean Henderson’s return.
But a move never came about and Romero’s wife was furious and used social media to express her contempt – and Redknapp bit back.
Redknapp said of Sky Sports: “It’s amazing … I’m sure she isn’t [happy].
“When he gets his £ 100,000 a week she’s pretty happy, but other than that …
“It’s scary isn’t it?
“The player has to go in and sit down with the manager and say, ‘Look, gawker, I’m not happy. I want to play, I have to go somewhere and be second choice or even number 1. Can you let me go?’
“It’s up to the player and the manager to take care of it, not his wife, to get on social media … it’s insane.”
