No NFL in London in 2020?
The NFL will present its schedule for the 2020 season before May 9. A spokesperson confirmed to ESPN that it will be a full schedule, with hopes of a normal season. But a notable difference could still be noted. A sad difference for European supporters.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham executives expect the two games scheduled for their stadium to be canceled in 2020, which is expected to deprive the London club of more than £ 4million in revenue. The same goes for Wembley, where the Football Association should lose a lot of money with an expected cancellation of meetings in the mythical enclosure.
The Daily Mail specifies that the NFL should announce a 2020 season played entirely on American soil. So this means that Mexico City should also lose its meeting.
If the information is confirmed by the NFL, it would be the first time since 2006 that an NFL season has not passed through London.
Cam Newton is waiting for the right opportunity
Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston signed. They will be replacements. Cam Newton (QB) is still free. Maybe because he doesn’t want to settle for a place on the bench. According to journalist Joseph Person (The Athletic), Newton has no intention of accepting a replacement spot. He would wait until he could move more freely so that the teams could examine him. Otherwise, he could wait until an injury opens up a starting opportunity.
Had this discussion w/ someone last week: No way Cam Newton signs w/ anyone as a backup. Continue to rehab and wait for travel restrictions to lift so teams can examine him. Worst case: He waits until a starter gets hurt.

Alex Smith went through hell
Sixteen operations in eight months. A fever, infection, risk of death, fear of amputation. Finally, walk again. Alex Smith (QB, Redskins) went through hell with his terrible leg injury. ESPN traces it in an article (beware, very difficult photos) and a documentary broadcast last Friday.
Further proof that NFL players risk big on the pitch.

5th year option
– The Cardinals did not activate their option to add a fifth year to the rookie contract ofHaason Reddick (LB), according to ESPN. He will therefore be free after the coming season. Regularly changed positions since the start of his career, Reddick has only managed 7.5 sacks in 48 games.
– The Bengals reportedly informed John Ross (WR) that the option to add a fifth year to his rookie contract will not be activated. He will receive $ 2.8 million in 2020 and be free in spring 2021 (ESPN)
– No 5th year option either for Jarrad Davis (LB, Lions). According to ESPN, although he is one of the captains in Detroit, his option has not been activated and he will therefore be without a contract after the 2020 season.
Transactions
– Josh Wells (OT) has re-signed for a season with the Buccaners. He will earn $ 910,000 in 2020. (The Athletic)
Dwayne Haskins a Tom Brady a la maison
The players’ Instagram direct sometimes allows you to discover surprising elements of their interior. In Dwayne Haskins (QB, Redskins), for example, there is a huge painting of him in the company of Tom Brady (QB, Buccaneers).
On Twitter, Haskins simply explained that he wanted to immortalize his meeting with the greatest player of all time.
