Get used to the NBBL level

The Juniors have regrouped this season: Several players are from the BG Göttingen Youngsters (JBBL / U16) moved up one age group and still have to get used to the NBBL level. But this is exactly the goal, according to Berov: “We want to find the right mix of older and younger players and develop as a team as best as possible, but also be clearly successful.”

In the NBBL main round B, the Berov boys have been divided into group North. The first two teams in each group qualify for the promotion round, the other four teams take part in the relegation round. At the end of last season, the youth performance team had chosen Göttingen well developed and shown a lot of positive energy. This is exactly where the Juniors head coach would like to pick up.

Take good care of the ball

It’s hard to say who is the favorite in the game on Sunday. Berov expects a close game. “The Oldenburg team is a very physical and physical team – we have to deal with that first. We have to watch out for the ball very well, ”says the Göttingen head coach. “In Luca Michels hat Oldenburg Definitely won a good development player. ”Initially not ready for action with the Southern Lower Saxony Lennart Schultz and Dominik Seehof (long term injuries). Berov expects a lot of energy, cleverness, team play and fighting spirit from his team on Sunday in order to have a chance of victory.
