Basketball – Alba maker Baldi: “It is important that you don’t throw everything into the corner”

Cologne (SID) – Managing Director Marco Baldi from the German basketball champion Alba Berlin does not want to be discouraged by the six corona cases in the team and wants to stay positive in the pandemic. “It’s important to stick together, show solidarity and not lose your sense of humor,” Baldi told the broadcaster rbb. It is also “important not to throw everything into the corner”.

On Tuesday it became known that five players were infected with COVID-19. An Alba professional had previously tested positive. According to Baldi, the consequences are “very different. Some have no symptoms at all, while others have more noticeable effects. We have to see how things go from here.”

The results brought tests after the EuroLeague game at CSKA Moscow. Therefore, “the entire tour group” is in a two-week quarantine. “Anyone who has the opportunity to isolate himself from his or her family does it. We also helped out with hotels,” said Baldi.

Four games of the Berliners have already been canceled. When it will continue is still open. Baldi has methods not to lose his confidence. “I try to take walks in the fresh air,” said the Alba-maker with a laugh: “But we don’t have to over-dramatize it, we will get through it.”
