The Frenchman Antoine Griezmann played another weak match, but got the chance to take off his invisibility cloak half an hour before the end. He didn’t, Griezmann missed the chance for Barcelona to score. Moments later, Lionel Messi also did the same.
Then Jaime Mata decided the game for the home team. With the first and only goal of the evening (from the dot) he won a golden three-pointer from the visitors.
In the standings, the team of coach Ronald Koeman, with four games on the counter, is in ninth place with seven points. Real Madrid is in the lead with ten points from five matches. Getafe and Granada also count ten points from five matches. Cadiz (6 games) is the fourth team in the lead.
