Bring up young people who have potential, with longer, more personalized training. This is how Serge Bodin, president of the FIB (Flume Ille Badminton) defines the FIB Avenir, a section wanted and launched four years ago. In this group intended to make the young shoots climb, there are about thirty young people, girls and boys, between 9 and 17 years old. Two trainers are dedicated to it: Jérémy Bloutin and Pierre Chagnot.

“We do not close the door to a beginner, everything is in the motivation. With the desire, catching up level is quite feasible”, insists Jérémy Bloutin. Each licensee took part in a detection, was selected. Anyone can access it.

The training takes place on Wednesdays and can be spread over three hours, with a breakdown of the workforce by level. Those who wish can insist more, going up to eight hours of practice, on the various sites of the FIB. “From the moment you enter FIB Avenir, the idea is to push a little extra. Often, those who enter stop the second sport they were doing next.” The sessions rely on collective and individual work, to strengthen the strengths of the players and help them progress. The two coaches are there when traveling to competitions. Pleasure must dominate, “we must keep this pleasure of playing sport, with the performance that goes with it” stresses Pierre.
