Badminton: a dull start in a cool environment

First game day: The regional league team of TV Dillingen is not allowed to serve at all, the Bayern league team is defeated by the promoted team. But the “lower class” convince.

The start of the season for the two higher-class badminton teams of the TV Dillingen. The first team had to cancel their regional league home game because guest Ansbach could not travel due to a suspected corona case. The game of the “second” in the Bayernliga took place, but was lost.

Despite 1: 3 deficit, Dillingen is still hoping

It was a lackluster start for TV Dillingen II at Bayernliga newcomer OSC Munich II. The Donaustadters had set themselves a victory after the Corona break. However, the game turned out differently than hoped. If you could win the first double, the women’s double and the second double went to the host. Elke Cramer also did not find her game in a cool environment – in other words, Halle. Despite the 1: 3 deficit, anything would have been possible at this point.

Hope flared up briefly when Steffen Kleinle played the third set in the second single and Tobi Schiegg played a closely contested game at the same time. But in the end you had to admit defeat, which gave Munich an unassailable lead. Christian Hofweber started well in his individual, but then pulled his back and lost. The otherwise so stable mixed did not succeed much that day. In the end there was a bitter 1: 7 defeat, which meant a bitter disappointment at the beginning. Now the team has three weeks until the next match day to find their form.

Dillinger “third party” has no problems

The third TVD team is against with a strong 6: 2 against Nördlingen started the new season of the district league. Since the Rieser only competed with three men and thus gave up the second men’s double without a fight. So it was 1-0 for the Donaustadters before the start of the game. Against the other doubles Florian Draxler / Michael Kurzeder as well as Benjamin Hoffmann and Markus Steinle in their singles, the Nördlinger had little chances and were clearly defeated. It got exciting in the women’s singles (Leonie Steinle), women’s doubles (Jessica Bahl / Leonie Steinle), first men’s singles (Estner) and mixed (Bahl / Draxler). After a big fight, Nördlingen secured the women’s singles and the mixed.

In the District League North, TV Dillingen IV started with a 6-2 win at VfL Günzburg without any problems, both men’s singles were won. After strong singles from Nicolas Liebetanz, Elias Kleinle and Simon Kleinle, the game was already decided. The mixed Martin Schweikhardt / Sonja Pfarrkircher made the success perfect.

The “fifth” was also successful: 5: 3 at the partner club TSV Neusäß, which at the start of the district class A-North could only compete with one lady due to illness. In the two doubles, Tobias Kiel / Peter Kleinle and Thomas Güttinger / Tim Kleinle were clearly stronger than the hosts. After all three men’s singles through Kiel, Brändle and Tim Kleinle after a hard fight Dillingen went, the overall victory was dry. (gül / tvd)
