Badminton: 1. BV Mülheim wants to repeat good results

Mülheim.
1. BV Mülheim was happy with three points. In the away games in Refrath and Solingen, a similar number of points should now be possible.

4: 3 and 3: 4 – these were the results of the 1. BV Mülheim the first weekend of the 2. Badminton-Bundesliga Nord. That made three points, a yield with which the Mülheimers were very satisfied. 4: 3 and 3: 4 – that would probably be a result that would make the Mülheim team happy in the two away games this weekend.

The BVM is not faced with long journeys: Saturday at 6 p.m. is surcharge TV Refrath II in Bergisch Gladbach, on Sunday at 2 p.m. the host is called STC blue-white Solingen. There is something in both games for Mülheim – but both scored four points on the first weekend.

1. BV Mülheim: Refrather Bundesliga reserve is difficult to assess

“Refrath is of course difficult to assess, because you never know if someone from the Bundesliga team will help out,” says team manager Jonathan Rathke – the Mülheimers, on the other hand, have a fully occupied team.

“The women’s points are important for us, because Refrath is very strong – if we get one or two points, then it is realistic that we will get enough points for a 4: 3 in the remaining games,” calculates Rathke. It looks similar on Sunday.

Opponent Blau-Weiß Solingen has closed its construction site

Here, too, a difficult task awaits the women, whether for Katharina Altenbeck, Joyce Grimm or Julia Meyer. “We know Solingen well from former Bundesliga and regional league times,” says Rathke, “and they have strengthened themselves very well this year in the women’s positions, which were otherwise rather a weakness.”

The 1st men’s singles could already set the direction, the 1st BVM is hoping for youngster Aaron Sonnenschein, who did a great job on the first day of the match.

Mülheim sees itself as an outsider – but is optimistic

Do the people of Mülheim see themselves as favorites? “It would be nice,” says Rathke, who is still hoping for a 4: 3 or at least a 3: 4 – in the best case, to finish the second second division weekend with three points.

With these results in retrospect, the first one was rated as a success, as Rathke reveals: “The 4: 3 against Hamburg-Horn was good – that can turn out 61, but everything should have gone smoothly for that. The point against the strong team from Trittau was great – so we were very satisfied overall. “
