Doubt was beginning to hover over a possible participation of Novak Djokovic in the Masters 1000 in Paris, after Rafael Nadal’s decision to go there. The Serb quickly put an end to this uncertainty.
“I will not play in Paris because I cannot earn points, but I will go to Vienna and London”, he told Serbian media on Wednesday.
Novak has no points to gain or lose in Paris because he won the tournament in 2019 and we remind you, the points are frozen with the pandemic. On the other hand, he will try to win some in Vienna and London, in order to increase his lead at the top of the ATP ranking.
