ATP: Milos Raonic advances to second round of Antwerp tournament

ANTWERP, Belgium – Canada’s Milos Raonic has reached the second round of the European Open, played in Antwerp, Belgium.

The sixth seed showed the outing for Slovenian Aljaz Bedene, 52nd in the world, 6-4, 7-6 (4) in this ATP 250 hard court tournament.

Raonic, who is ranked 19th in the world, won 91 percent (40 of 44) of the rally played on his first balls and ended the game with 17 aces.

The Ontarian is undefeated in three matches against Bedene.

He will now face Briton Cameron Norrie, 70th player in the world. Raonic won the only clash between the two tennis players.
