AFL 2020 semi-finals: Geelong Cats vs. Collingwood Magpies – live! | Sports

Richmond striker Tom Lynch has avoided suspension after dropping his knee against St. Kilda defender Doug K Howard and can play Port Adelaide in the AFL pre-final next Friday.

Lynch missed a 50-yard penalty for knocking Howard to the ground and dropped his left knee onto the defender’s neck and shoulder area in the third quarter of the game on Friday night at Metricon Stadium.

Match Review Officer Michael Christian rated the incident as a second “misconduct” offense and offered Lynch a $ 750 fine with an early plea.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick had downplayed the “tiny” post-game incident while defending Lynch’s aggression.
