The Municipality of the Correntina town of Santa Lucía announced this Friday that it will formally request the provincial government to enable contact sports.

“I am going to formally request the Government of the Province to authorize football 5, volleyball and basketball, with protocols in places such as Santa Lucía, that there is no viral circulation,” said Mayor José “Tata” Sananez on his social networks .

At the moment, these activities are part of those that are not enabled throughout the provincial territory.

A few days ago, the city of Ituzaingó announced the return of soccer 5, but the Crisis Committee discouraged the sport.

Meanwhile, from the Union of Owners and Concessionaires of 5 Soccer Field Complexes, they estimate that there are already 12 complexes in the area that had to close due to inactivity due to the pandemic.

“In Capital they closed 3 fields definitively, and in the interior 7, so there are 12 complexes so far affected throughout the province,” they told El Litoral from the sector.

In addition, they pointed out that in several of these places they are “selling the funds” of commerce and even the artificial grass, in order to “transform the court into a paddle tennis court.”
